When building a business online or offline. Branding Yourself And Your Business is the thing that will be noticed first every time.
With a brick and mortar business you may have sign writing on the van, t-shirts and jumpers printed with a branded logo.
But online these things dont really matter, nobody sees the van you drive or what you are wearing.
So online branding has to be done differently.

My plan over the past few weeks has been to master this. Brainstorming ideas for my brand.
At first I thought it would be easy. However the list of names and tag lines I came up with ranged from not making any sense to just plain stupid!
- Disrupt the cycle
- Master the skill
- 321 lift off
- Whatever it takes
- Pull back the throttle
- Ad the fuel
- Ignite the fire
- Nothing is impossible
- Clear the jump
Just to name a few. None of them were standing out!
Then I began to think about it a little more. What was I planning to do with my business? How do I plan to help my customers?
Then also — How has building a business online helped me?
I was working a 9 to 5 job as an electrician and wanted to change. I wanted to have the freedom to to do what I want when I want with my time.
But couldn’t see a way around it all — A way out.
You could say I was chained to my job in a way.
Affiliate marketing has enabled me to be able to break that cycle. Free me from the feeling of being chained to my job.
Break The Chains Of A 9 to 5
That was it Break the chains!
It resonated so much with me and would attract the same kind of people into my business who feel the same.
So the Branding Yourself And Your Business Online was break the chains of your 9 to 5.
The next step was to get a professional image designed. Now I am no graphic designer so I needed to find someone who was.
Through a good friend I met online through Facebook, they recommended a person on fiver.com. I gave them my initial idea and let them get to work.
2 days later it was ready. You know when you see something for the first time and you instantly know its perfect, it was just what you were looking for.
Well this didn’t happen the first time round. Dont get me wrong, it was great — just not brilliant!
I tried to explain better what I wanted the image to look like but I ended up getting my order cancelled and refunded.
Was I being too fussy? Should I have made do with what they had done?
So I approached another gig on fiver for the 2nd time to try and get the design I wanted.
Another couple of days the order was delivered. After a couple of tweaks it was perfect!
My Break the Chains of your 9 to 5 was ready for the world to see.
This was another step forward in my business for me.
It was a clear interpretation of what business I am building online.
Not only do I enjoy the actions I am taking in order to build my business online, its also exciting.
